Carniny House Independent Living Centre

We are located a few minutes walk from the town centre and a short distance from major bus and rail transport. Ballymena is a vibrant and friendly town with many shopping centres, pedestrian zones, multiplex cinema, bowling at the Sports Bowl and great nightlife. We boast one of the largest leisure centres in Northern Ireland (Seven Towers) with its many attractions including swimming, squash courts, skateboard-park, health suite

Our centre is fully accessible and can house up to eight young people 16 years and over. All rooms are furnished to a high standard, as is the common room and shared kitchen. Residents have use of a high spec computer with broadband Internet access for educational and leisure purposes and can also enjoy on-site computer training up to New CLAIT standard.

During your stay we aim to equip you with the necessary skill to achieve independent lifestyles and to this end all our young people are offered training in many areas such as cooking, personal hygiene, job applications and form-filling.

We are a friendly centre were staff regularly join with residents for trips to the bowling alley, barbecue and cinema.
